This specimen of Tetrachryoderma (Gastrotricha: Thaumastodermatidae) was collected at an unnamed seamount on the Salas y Gómez ridge between Chile and the island of Rapa Nui. The sample was collected using the ROV Subastian operating from the research vessel Falkor too belonging the Schmidt Ocean Institute. This specimen was found in a qualitative bag sample of coral rubble and rodoliths at a depth of 264m
